The Creator The Website The Comic

The comic started somwhere in the summer of 2005. The first chapter was originally sketched in 6 pages, not 8, and had really bad humour. Nobody understood it. Which motivated me to start over, but then I thought: hey. Why not make a site of it?

So where did the idea come from? Before I started on Demon Hunters I had another comic called 'Nivean'. This one was already 130 pages long and just too long to finish - on top of that, it was heavily influenced by Dragonball Z. Can't put that online now, eh? Somewhere in my last year of secondary school I came up with a comic called Dark Slayers. This was about three demon slayers, kids actually, who still went to school. I only drew 2 pages before it bored me to death. It wasn't a good set-up and the idea slumbered for a year.

At some time I started to draw sketchy stuff and came up with something similar to Dark Slayers: a guy with a leather coat, this time with fur/feathers around the shoulders, and a huge amount of hair. Introducing 'White Spider', folks! I then asked my sister to draw another character: she's a better artist than I am, really. She then drew the basis for Arisu. Last but not least, The design for Leo comes from my pal Peter, who drew the skater-hippy-creature. And I simply coloured them. And that's the beginning of Demon Hunters!
