The
layout as you see it is the final layout: Demon Hunters will stay
the way it is. But the road to this layout was a long one. It is actually
the fourth layout! Fortunately I always keep old
designs and drawings. So I can give you a short overview of the website's
transformation.
In the beginning I didn't have a .com address.
My web was hosted at 250free.com: |

The
old layout was all pixely and full of commercials, because I didn't
pay for the web. The poor graphics come from programs like photo editor:
I didn't have Photoshop back then.
Then I launched demonhuntersonline.com! With a new web addess I also
wanted a new layout. By now, I had just received Photoshop: |

| I
had this layout for quite a while. Easy navigation, but also an easy
design. I thought the hardest part was that the menu had to exist
as html on every page. So, somewhere halfway 2006 I created a layout
with frames: |

| I
changed some buttons, was very happy, but it didn't work that well
on Internet Explorer. So after I finished Volume I, I asked my friend
Peter Puntman
to help me create a firm and steady design, that was more lifely and
interactive, yet simple to the cause: Demon Hunters is still a webcomic,
so it should be easy accessible. So we debated and thought things
over and eventually he came up with the basic design for the current
layout: based on an actual comic book. He also came up with the tabs.
All I had to do was design the layout of these basics! And the result?
That's the web you're currently browsing. |
